On a reoccurring, pre-scheduled basis, a Bennett Office Technologies Network Engineer will provide
onsite maintenance to your:

Physical Environment

  • Check battery backup systems, server and/or rack fans, and server health (HDD, RAM, CPU,
    redundancy)

Servers and Networking

  • Install non-Microsoft patches and upgrade additional software (Citrix, Database, etc) on servers.
  • Check Integrated Management Logs for hardware errors.
  • Upgrade Firewall / SSL VPN to latest BIOS and check logs
  • Clear antivirus software, clear quarantines, and check definition dates & schedule
  • Check license expiration date for SAV for Exchange
  • Install and run latest MBSA on server(s)
  • Check drive free space
  • Check defragmentation of system drives / scheduling
  • Review Event logs for errors and fix
  • Review CPU / Memory Utilization
  • Check mail server queue / database size Data Recovery
  • Patch / Update Backupexec / Check backup status
  • Perform a test restore.
  • Review tape rotation / off-site storage with management
  • Evaluate current backup selection

Workstations

  • Update or install various patches, including OS, antivirus, spyware, and software such as Acrobat and Java
  • Run MSConfig and check for unneeded items.
  • Perform a test restore.
  • Test UPS for backup power.

Security

  • Perform an external and internal scan.
  • Review physical security
